The Kelowna Immigrant Society  is a charitable organization operated solely by volunteers. We are an immigrant community service agency that assists immigrants in Kelowna and surrounding area. Our Society is dedicated to facilitating their inclusion and integration within the community while encouraging the maintenance of their cultural identity.


KELOWNA COMMUNITY RESOURCES
Kelowna Community Resources
  Immigration Program provides immigrants to Canada with initial services such as information, orientation and referral to mainstream agencies, adaptation and host mentoring programs, and language training.    The Host Program for newcomers to Canada is a friendship program designed to match community residents with newcomers, helping them learn how to live in Canada, adjust to the community and provide an opportunity to practice English.


CENTRAL OKANAGAN IMMIGRANT EMPLOYMENT SERVICE (COIES)
Central Okanagan Immigrant Employment Service (COIES) staff focus on providing services to assist our clients to successfully find work. These services include effective use of job search tools such as resumes and cover letters, job search and interview preparation workshops, and on-going employment counseling and support.


INTERCULTURAL SOCIETY OF THE CENTRAL OKANAGAN
Intercultural Society of the Central Okanagan promotes multiculturalism in the community and supports the maintenance of cultural identity, opposes racism and provides diversity training. They assist immigrants to participate fully in Canadian society.


KELOWNA NEWCOMERS CLUB
Kelowna Newcomers Club is a social group for men and women. Its purpose is to enable newcomers to meet and get to know other newcomers, and find out more about what Kelowna has to offer. Monthly meetings are held Sept-May on the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Seniors Activity Centre, 1360 Water Street. To be eligible for membership, one must have become a resident of Kelowna within the past 2 years. Membership is renewable for three years.


SOCIETY FOR LEARNING IN RETIREMENT
Society for Learning in Retirement is a non-profit, tax-exempt, equal opportunity organization meeting the educational interests and needs of retired persons in the Central Okanagan.
