The 11th annual Metabridge technology executive retreat kicked off in downtown Kelowna last night. Since 2008, Okanagan based Metabridge has been building a community of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors and mentors supporting growth stage Canadian technology founders. In the annual June technology retreat, Canada’s top 15 founders are selected to join high performance Silicon Valley mentors and investors for three days of intense learning, relationship building and of course, experiencing the famous Okanagan lifestyle.

Beginning as a program of the COEDC in 2008, Metabridge has since spun off into an independent organization building a global venture capital network that has seen 22+ acquisitions, 135 alumni and over $450M invested in the Canadian startup eco-system.

Kelowna has played host to incredible Canadian founders over the past 11 years and this year’s cohort is no exception. While all of the top 15 are exceptionally talented, we are especially excited to see Shannon Christensen, founder of homegrown tech charity Mamas for Mamas, showcased this year.
