Syilx Culture

Celebrate traditional Syilx culture at the Sncewips Heritage Museum and various events, programs and celebrations throughout the year.

Public Art

The WFN Public Art Program is a collaborative, collective, creative process between WFN, practicing artists and community members promoting syilx culture through art. Aspects of the syilx culture are woven into the design of many buildings, structures and signs throughout the community.

Sensisyusten House of Learning

Sensisyusten House of Learning is an Independent Elementary School within the BC Ministry of Education teaching BC curriculum with an integration of traditional Okanagan syilx perspectives and language. Open to members and non-members, “sensisyusten” translates to “the place where you can become anything you choose to be”.
