DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThe global LGBT+ travel market is valued at more than US$200B annually. Canadian destinations are well-positioned to grow their share of this market. \nCGLCC’s Navigating LGBT+ Diversity and Inclusion in the Tourism Industry helps businesses learn about LGBT+ inclusion and how to effectively understand\, value\, and serve LGBT+ customers and employees. \nThis workshop: \n\nintroduces terms and definitions regarding the diversity of LGBT+ people\, discusses the impact of homophobia\, transphobia\, and heterosexism in the workplace\, and provides an opportunity to explore the topic in a safe environment\ndiscusses why safe spaces are important\, and what they look like and reviews the bottom line\, specifically the internal and external benefits of LGBT+ inclusive space\n\nThis free workshop is made possible by the generous support of the Government of Canada through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the Tourism Relief Fund.
