The New Inclusive Economy Roadshow is a series of business-to-business conversations designed to engage with employers who want to learn more about how they can be a more inclusive and equitable employer. \nSelf-employed people and employers in B.C.\, and those who self-identify as having a disability\, are all welcome to participate in these events. \n  \nAbout New Inclusive Economy\nThe New Inclusive Economy (NIE) is a British Columbia (B.C.) based\, province-wide research project which aims to capture alternative economic approaches to inclusive employment and explore how employers recruit and retain people with disabilities. \nThe two-year research project will engage with employers and entrepreneurs with disabilities through an environmental scan\, survey\, interviews\, focus groups and case studies\, to answer these questions: \n  \n\nWhat workplace conditions and practices lead to meaningful employment for people with disabilities?\nWhat are the alternative economic approaches to providing meaningful employment?\n\n  \nThis project will result in a set of promising practices for employers and entrepreneurs who want to be more inclusive and equitable. \nThrough an engaging and accessible process\, the New Inclusive Economy research aims to benefit people with disabilities who need and deserve to be recognized as having a place in the economy.

Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants provides services to help you find skilled employment in BC that uses the education and experience that you bring to Canada. \nYou will gain insight about the employment services of KCR\, and more specifically about the Career Paths Program for Skilled Immigrants. Attendees will find out about the criteria and eligibility for the program and what it can offer to qualified candidates. An overview of the types of professions that the program supports will be introduced along with the industries in which professionals align with best in each of these streams will be discussed. \nAll are welcome to join us to attend this session.
