Check in monthly to meet a new member of the Advisory Committee, and to learn why they love to live and work in the Central Okanagan!

What organization are you from and what is your role?

I am President of Northside Industries Inc. (NSI), a long-standing West Kelowna based steel fabrication and manufacturing company wholly owned by Decisive Dividend Corp, a Kelowna based acquisition-oriented company. As a fully integrated steel fabrication company we provide products to large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in various industries including commercial trucking, forestry, boat builders as well as products and services to industrial, commercial and end users.

What excites you about the future of your respective sector?

I am excited by the opportunities of growth and specialization in the sectors that we presently support and those that we plan to enter, as well as an inherent need for continuous improvement in ‘how and what’ we do to remain a supplier of choice. These factors drive an ongoing need for innovation, and I am excited to see our culture, our people and overall company continue to develop and execute our long-term strategic objectives. Such objectives will see us open an additional facility in West Kelowna later this year!

Why is participating in the Advisory Committee important to you?

I feel there are many opportunities and business-related economic challenges within the Okanagan and the advisory committee provides an opportunity to share diversified perspectives, experiences, and knowledge not only with peers, but with industry and government representation and work together to support a resilient local economy and networks. I hope in doing so we have a positive affect on local communities and the quality of life in the area.

Why do you love living and working in the Okanagan?

Having lived in the Okanagan since 2003, I enjoy the climate and the associated quality of life it affords me, my family as well as my passion for cycling and outdoor activities. I feel privileged to live and work in such remarkable area.  The community attracts entrepreneurs and has a dynamic business climate that provides opportunities.
